The purpose of this blog is to encourage Christians to pray for America according to the pattern of 2 Chronicles 7:14: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray, and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and forgive their sins and restore their land.” We long to see America once again as "one nation under God".

Freedom in Christ
"The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners..."
Isaiah 61:1 (NIV)
"This is how it feels to be free". The Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers performed this song at Angola Prison in Louisiana. What a fitting background for a song about freedom. People in that prison can have freedom in Christ regardless of the fact that they are incarcerated. Many of us who are outside the prison walls, however, are still in chains. Jesus came to set the captives free, as it says in Isaiah 61. The world, the flesh and the devil can have no power over us, except that which we willingly surrender.
We are set free to be set apart!
